About Graphic Design
Working across identity, typography, print, digital and campaign design, I use image, form and movement to build distinctive visual languages. Whether creating a single piece of correspondence or an entire brand world, every project is approached with intention, character and a belief that good design should leave an impression.
ABOUT THE PORTFOLIO
Notes from Lois Wynter.

I’ve always loved the intimacy of a business card; a small object that can hold an entire identity. It’s often one of the first physical encounters someone has with a brand, making every decision, from typography and composition to paper and finish, feel significant. I approach each card as a miniature piece of design: something tactile, considered and worth holding onto.
-
I love the challenge of distilling an entire identity into a single mark. A logo can be remarkably simple, yet carry the character, story and ambition of a brand within it. Whether exploring typography, monograms, calligraphy or abstract forms, I approach each design as an exercise in recognition, creating something distinctive, considered and made to be remembered.
-
Calligraphy is where my approach to typography becomes more instinctive. I’m drawn to the way a letterform can move, gesture and develop its own personality, transforming type into something closer to illustration. Through bespoke strokes, flourishes and compositions, I explore how written form can become a distinctive logo, balancing expression with identity and turning a name into a mark entirely its own.
-
Typography fascinates me because letters are more than something we read, they are shapes, structures and compositions in their own right. I enjoy deconstructing and rebuilding letterforms, experimenting with proportion, rhythm and movement to discover new ways for type to communicate. Each study explores the point where language becomes image, allowing typography to carry meaning before a word is even read.
-
I love the thoughtfulness behind a thank you card. A simple gesture made more meaningful through design. From typography and illustration to colour, paper and composition, each card is created to feel personal and considered. In an increasingly digital world, there is something special about creating a physical piece of correspondence that someone can hold, keep and remember.
-
Branding is where I get to build an entire world. I love stepping into a business, understanding its personality, audience and ambitions, and discovering the visual language that feels uniquely its own. From identity and typography to colour, imagery and application, I enjoy bringing each element together to transform a client’s vision into a cohesive universe; one that can be recognised, experienced and remembered.
-
From weddings and intimate celebrations to parties, events and shows, each design is an opportunity to set the tone before the occasion begins. Through typography, colour, illustration and composition, I create invitations that capture the character of the moment, turning anticipation into something tangible, personal and worth keeping.

I’m drawn to seeing design move beyond the screen and become part of the real world. Live Practice brings together work created for active brands, studios, campaigns and organisations, from identity and marketing to digital, print and visual communication. It reflects the collaborative side of my practice: responding to real briefs, real audiences and real environments, and creating work designed to be seen, used and experienced.
